John Sewell
Calling out to plastic industry members, to plastic/technology/circular economy innovators, and to activists who animate us to change for the better.
My name is John and I have spent the majority of my professional career involved in the plastics industry. A chemical engineer, I have worked for world leading polymer technology and production companies and in plastic conversion, based in the US and Europe developing technology, developing and offering plastic products. I clearly recognize the value of plastics in our modern world. I also see clearly the problem of plastic waste and the impact of plastics and plastics industry on the climate. In recent years I have turned to sustainability in plastics and find this a domain where fascinating innovation is taking place. I invite conversations on plastic and climate, among industry, innovators, activists, a mix of us all. Together, we can move the ball forward.

Mateusz Wielopolski
And this is Mateusz. I love exploring the way we use materials to make things. Fascinated by the principles of circular economy, I think we should engage more in systems thinking and closing loops - let it be for plastics, resources, politics and people.
Learned and still learning how science enables us to understand and take rational decisions. To guarantee a sustainable future tomorrow, we need to be particularly careful about these decisions today. Especially those which concern our environment and how we perceive our responsibility. I believe that if we take the science and discuss it from each other’s different standpoints, we can create a common understanding of our responsibilities to make good decisions for the future.

Pedro Guincho
I am Pedro Guincho, I come from the country and village of surfing big waves and eating good fish, however I still only do the latter. From an early-age, I have been fueled with the objective of having a positive impact on the world. As such, I pursued an academic and professional career focused on life sciences, where I understood the immense potential that the areas of bio-based materials and circular economy have on making this exact positive impact.
Nowadays, I am finding that the most effective way of reaching positive and mindful goals is through collaboration and communication between different areas of expertise, so that is why I joined Plastic. Climate. Future. With the aim to enhance my knowledge in Circular Economy and Sustainability while also being a helping hand on the mission of communicating science and innovation to newer and broader audiences.

Katarína Vargicová
Hi, I'm Katarina! With a background in data analytics and engineering, I've spent much of my career working with ESG data, calculating emissions and environmental impact. Beyond numbers, my passion for sustainability goes deeper. In my personal life, I continue to make conscious choices to reduce my environmental impact — from rethinking purchasing habits to being more mindful of travel decisions among others. However, over time, I’ve come to realize that while individual actions matter, the real change comes from tackling these issues on a larger scale.
Sustainability is a complex topic that requires collaboration across sectors and disciplines, finding holistic solutions that can drive broader impact. At the core of this is spreading knowledge about circular economy and making the latest climate science and innovation easily accessible to everyone, just like we do at Plastic.Climate.Future.

Saskia Purbojo
My name is Saskia, and I am currently studying for my master’s in biotechnology. I have always been interested in the sustainability and circularity sector, especially in finding solutions through a biotechnology and bioeconomy approach. However, the more I learn about it, the more I realize that the best solution would come from the collaboration between various disciplines. So here I am, joining Plastic Climate Future, to grasp a broader point of view of the circular economy.
I am a strong believer that information has to be spread and understandable in order to create a big impact. So I think that having multidisciplinary conversations about circularity, plastics, climate, etc. and spreading them, is the key to go!
